How Points Are Calculated

Understanding our evil rating system and why actions matter more than words

Core Philosophy

We believe that actions speak louder than words. While it's important to speak up about important issues, what truly matters is how politicians vote when the rubber meets the road. Our scoring system reflects this belief.

Votes

±2 Points

Why 2 points? Voting is the ultimate action that directly impacts legislation and people's lives.

+2 points for voting against evil legislation
-2 points for voting for evil legislation

Positions

±1 Point

Why 1 point? Speaking up is important but easier than taking action. Words matter, but actions matter more.

+1 point for speaking up on important issues
-1 point for staying silent on critical matters

Why This Matters

Actions vs. Words

Anyone can say they support a cause, but voting records show what they actually believe when it counts.

Accountability

Our system holds politicians accountable for both their rhetoric and their actual voting behavior.

Transparency

By showing the breakdown of points, voters can see exactly how each rating was calculated.

Real Examples

Good Example

A member who speaks up about Gaza genocide (+1) and votes against military aid to Israel (+2) would have a total of +3 points, earning a "GOOD" rating.

Evil Example

A member who stays silent on Gaza genocide (-1) and votes for military aid to Israel (-2) would have a total of -3 points, earning an "EVIL" rating.

Neutral Example

A member who speaks up about Gaza genocide (+1) but votes for military aid to Israel (-2) would have a total of -1 point, earning a "NEUTRAL" rating.
